The SUBBUTEO technical page
This is a place to announce the updates made to the site. Nothing fancy really.
03.24.2008: added the Woodentop FISTF quick rules in the "rules" section.
03.11.2008: Virtua Subbuteo version 302 is now available for download in the "virtua subbuteo" section.
03.08.2008: fixed a few bugs in "virtua subbuteo". Version 301 is now available for download in the "virtua subbuteo" section. Also added a video to show how it looks like.
12.09.2007: added a brand new section to tell the incredible story of Table Football, from Newfooty to the FISTF, thanks to the French Federation and in particular Laurent Garnier.
05.12.2007: added a link to Subbuteo links directory in the "links" section. This is a website whose sole purpose is to list all Subbuteo (or table football soccer) sites on the planet. Don't mind filling it all up myself but it'd be real nice if people that have (or know) a site could submit their link.
11.11.2006: added entries for Daniel Tatarsky's (not new) book and Mark Adolph's new book in the "goodies" section. Both are recommended reads, of course.
10.27.2006: added a link to Solo League in the "solo" section, the latest incarnation of the Solo Subbuteo Syndicate. Check it out, we beg you.
10.27.2006: added a link to Football Simulation Rules 2006 in the "simulation" section, the latest stuff from Bruno Biasini, one of the greatest solo Subbuteo players of our time.
09.22.2006: added a couple paragraphs in the "rules" section to explain the basic rules before going into the diatribe concerning the offside rule and the likes. That may be a good thing for people that have never heard of the game.
09.08.2006: added Retrofoot (USA-FRA) in the links section. Finally a site about retro football (soccer) with blurry videos.
09.01.2006: added the pdf version of the June 2005 FISTF rules in the "rules" section. This means that both word and pdf versions of the latest FISTF rules are available for immediate download. Also added the pdf version of the Advanced Rule that are available in plain html form at the Independent Subbuteo forum.
08.26.2006: added some videos in the "videos" section.
08.24.2006: added Lazio Calcio da Tavolo club (ITA) in the "links" section.
08.21.2006: added St. Louis Subbuteo league (USA) and Steel City Table Soccer league (USA) in the "links" section. If you need to be linked, let me know and it will be done in no time.
08.19.2006: added a "videos" section. Added heavy weights and Parodis in the "bases" section, removed the pitchsurfers from there too because can't stand them.
08.17.2006: added a "formula dé" section. For now, all that's in there are scans of the rules, but maybe there will be more stuff. Note that there is a thread in the peaceful Subbuteo forum about formula dé (and other fascinating board games by the way). Feel free to post there if you are a fan or want to know more about it.
06.28.2006: virtuasubbuteo300 (new version) is available for download in the "virtua subbuteo" section. Please, report any problems/bugs on the peaceful Subbuteo forum.
06.25.2006: virtuasubbuteo300 is available for download in the "virtua subbuteo" section. Please, report any problems/bugs on the peaceful Subbuteo forum.
04.30.2006: virtuasubbuteo200beta (you against the computer) is available for download in the "virtua subbuteo" section. Please, report any problems/bugs on the peaceful Subbuteo forum.
04.29.2006: removed obsolete FISTF rule set downloads in the "rules" section (no need to confuse people more than needed).
04.03.2006: added links to AN.AR software (civil engineering and subbuteo) and Southern California Subbuteo Club.
03.26.2006: getting ready to release a new version of Virtua Subbuteo. The new release is gonna be 1P vs COMP. Updated the "virtua subbuteo" section with more details on how to play (the new version). Virtua Subbuteo 200 beta is not available yet but will come out shortly. Do you know why it's called beta? Because it's not fully tested :D. I am hoping that Virtua Subbuteo 200 (non beta) will be relatively stable and will require few updates.
03.09.2006: revised (one more time) the rules in the "solo play" section.
02.25.2006: added a link to MetroWest Boston Subbuteo Club in the "links" section.
02.18.2006: added the FISTF rules (June 2005 edition) in the "rules" section. Feel free to download!
01.20.2006: kinda rephrased a few things in the "solo play" section. Added a paragraph in the "tactics" section about how to block a fast player (thanks to Cheadle_Athletic).
01.09.2006: added a downloadable version (in pdf format) of the Subbuteo handbook ca 1975. See the "retro play" section.
12.07.2005: kinda changed the "solo" rules with respect to blocking. It is hard to find blocking rules that are easy to apply. Hopeful though with these latest ones.
12.02.2005: added the "practicing" section to provide exercises that may improve your game. Those may be more manageable than the ones in "practicing deux".
12.01.2005: added the "practicing deux" section to provide exercises that may improve your game. That's quite intense but I am sure it is gonna be useful to somebody.
11.25.2005: added the "simulation play" section for the "football simulation rules" designed by Bruno Biasini. Also, added one item in the "retro" section.
10.21.2005: completely changed the "solo" rules. Time for a change I guess.
10.02.2005: added a tidbit in the "rules" section aimed at refereeing.
09.27.2005: added a link to Luigi Baffone blog in the "links" section (upon Luigi Baffone's request).
08.26.2005: added a brand new section for the pc game "virtua Subbuteo" that I wrote. For now, only a "solitaire" version is available. A network version is in the works but if there is no interest, not sure it is gonna happen. So if you are interested, please make yourself heard on the peaceful Subbuteo forum (see "forum" section).
07.30.2005: added a forum to talk about Subbuteo playing, whether it is retro or FISTF style. Everyone is welcome to contribute.
